Silk dyes are designed to dye silk and all animal fibers permanently.

Silk dyes must be dissolved with warm to hot water and must be fixed with steaming or by use of a microwave, to obtain a solid shade dyeing. It is essential to fix these dyes with an acid fixative like Vinegar or Citric Acid. We recommend using Citric acid crystals since Vinegar leaves an odor on the silk.
